[September 2026] – Tokyo | Osaka, Japan — Wada FoodTech is honored to welcome Professor Stephen Wan Hang Shum, Dean of the College of Business at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK), as a Strategic Advisor.
A leading scholar in Operations Research, Professor Shum brings extensive expertise in strategic supply chain management, resilience, inventory control, and omni-channel operations. He holds a PhD in Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and is an alumnus of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His research has been widely published in leading academic journals, including Management Science and Operations Research.
Bridging Operations Research and Foodservice Innovation
Professor Shum’s academic expertise aligns closely with Wada FoodTech’s mission to pioneer Foodservice 3.0 — a decentralized, AIoTO-powered infrastructure designed to redefine meal production, distribution, and storage at scale. By integrating Physical AI, IoT, and advanced hot-chain logistics, Wada FoodTech aims to enable more efficient and resilient foodservice operations.
